Before becoming a massage therapist, Michelle worked as a professional large group facilitator, guiding teams of up to 30 people to design practical solutions for complex challenges. Her career, however, took an unexpected turn in 2003 when health challenges disrupted her path. Determined to rebuild her own well-being, she turned to massage therapy, therapeutic movement, fitness training, and meditation as tools for recovery.
The transformative impact of these practices inspired Michelle to pursue formal training in the healing arts. She earned her degree in Remedial Massage Therapy from the Okanagan Valley College of Massage Therapy in Vernon, British Columbia. To deepen her ability to guide others on their wellness journeys, Michelle also became a certified yoga teacher and meditation instructor.
Committed to lifelong learning, Michelle consistently exceeds the continuing education requirements set by the Massage Therapist Association of Alberta (MTAA). Her post-graduate training includes advanced orthopedic massage, myofascial release, deep tissue techniques, hot stone massage, and approaches tailored to creating a safe, supportive treatment environment.
